Maybe there are some zoom lenses that have a mechanism that may adjust focus points to a distance, but I am not aware of that technology or havent had anything of that kind.
But I am sure, that in all, or most of SLR zoom lenses, their focus point changes as you zoom-in/out, unless you are focusing on infinity.
Take a close look on the next lens picture:

As you can see, you have the scrolling numbers with the focus distance, an there are several red line markers, each one with a different amount of zoom or focal length.. So if you zoom, you have to focus relativetely to the marker which it belongs to.
Maybe there are some lenses which are more advanced...If you know some that automatically change their focal point while zooming, please tell me which lens, Id buy em instantly.
