Hi!
My first post btw, so I'l give a big Hello
to everyone on the board.
My query:
I just recently ordered a Letus35 Mini with
a Canon FD Lens Mount and have been hunting
lenses on eBay, so far I've recieved 2.
- A 28mm older Canon FD model
- A 50mm newer Canon FD model
- (A newer 75-200mm zoom/macro lens is also on it's way)
On the older 28mm the aperture blades could
be opened without the lens being mounted
(on anything).
But on the newer 50mm I could never open the
blades fully, me being somewhat noobish on
lenses I emailed the seller about this, here's
snippets of his reply:
"This Canon Lens is one of the newer models and
has to be mounted on the camera so the aperture works,"
"I’m almost 100% positive that the other Canon lenses
you have are the older models that when you turn the
lens locking ring, the aperture works, but with this
lens, being one of the latest models, you cannot do
that, it has to go on a camera or on an a adapter so
you can lock the lens and then it will work as it should."So what I'd like to know is if the Canon FD Lens Mount
on the Letus35 Mini will have support for Both/All the Newer
and Older "versions" of the Canon FD lenses?
Or do you need to be able to manually manipulate/open
the Blades on all lenses you are planing to use,
before having them mounted on the FD Lens Mount?
best regards
