The screws on my back focus wheel loosen far to easily. Once loose the whole picture jumps as I pull focus. Using Zacuto rails, Arri Ultra Primes and Arri FF4. now have small screw driver on all shoots, but personally I don't think it should be happening. Do I have badly constructed Ultimate or am I asking too much from my expensive bit of kit. Have two Letus Extremes which have performed well with good care and attention, but had hoped the additional outlay for the Ultimate would be the end of my constant tinkering on shoots.
Also having serious front heavy issues with Zacuto backing up to camera plate on sachtler V20 tripod.

My Ultimate came out of the box with every screw and alen head loose. I tightened everything, but still had front end play with the FF torqueing it. I have tightened everything more and things are much better, but it's something that will probably need to be done repeatedly, particularly with heavier cine lenses.

I have the same problem.

In fact, the back focus on my makes no adjustment at all to the sharpness of the lens. There is no change.

The Ultimate is not cheap. Anyone managed to return one for a refund ??

I have found that a dab of LocTite on the threads does wonders for screws wanting to work themselves loose. It keeps everything in place while still allowing for easy threading.

It takes many turns of the backfocus to see a difference.
